Heat 1 table spoon oil and add mustard seeds.Saute 1/4 sliced onion. Add 1 sliced tomatoes. Cook well. Add 2 cups cooked toor dal. Add 1 tsp turmeric powder, 1 chopped garlic ,2 tsp salt, 1 cup water and 1/2 tsp jeera powder. When cooked well, add 1/2 cup coconut milk. Cook for 5-7 minutes. Garnish with coriander leaves or curry leaves.
