Pineapple up side down cake

Melt 1/2 cup brown sugar with 2 table spoon butter in a sauce pan. Apply baking spray on a tray and sprinkle half cup brown sugar. Pour the sugar syrup on top of this. Arrange the pineapple pieces and cherry as desired. Prepare a cake batter with 2 cups flour,1 pinch salt, 1 tsp vanilla essence, 1.5 tsp baking powder and 1/2 tsp baking soda. Cream 1 cup sugar with 1/3 stick butter. Add 3 eggs. Pour this into the flour mix and add 1/3 cup milk or vegetable oil. Spread the batter over pineapple slices and bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes. Take out from the oven and pass a knife on the sides of the cake.Invert the cake after 30 minutes.
