Green Peas Kachori


Wash and grind 2 cups of green peas coarsely. Heat 1 tbsp oil, add 2 tbsp asafoetida, 2 chopped green chilies, 1″ piece (chopped) ginger, 1 tsp coarsely ground cumin seeds, 1 tsp freshly ground peppercorns,salt and coriander leaves. Add the green peas . Keep aside. Knead 3 cups of flour with 2tbsp oil, salt and lukewarm water. Make small balls of the dough, flatten slightly and stuff a teaspoon of the peas mixture. Shape it into balls and roll into discs. Fry them till crisp and golden.
